Novara – Saturday 4 March at the Leini arena the qualifications for the final of the Italian A2 cadet championship were held which will take place in Taranto on 18 March, over 140 athletes battled to win the coveted pass for the final . The Centro Judo Novara, the only company in Novara to have taken part in the competition, has decided to field only the athlete Simon Vestali in the 55 kg cadet category. The athlete from Novara beat all his opponents before the limit with the maximum score obtaining the gold medal.
The manager Walter Ferrari explains that the athlete from Novara has been following a certain path since the beginning of the year and that the gold medal on Saturday and that of two weeks ago in Bergamo are certainly not the result of chance but due first of all to the determination and desire of the boy and in the background to the sacrifices during all the phases of study and preparation which on average are between 7/8 workouts a week.
