Nineteenth Friday evening, the French Martin Trainer, originally from Marseille, made a good comeback on Saturday, rising to 7th place. The winner of the Puerto Rico Open 2019 returned a good card of 65 (8 birdies, 1 bogey). It is quite simply the best record of the day (tied with Thomas Detry). At -12 total, the 31-year-old is accompanied by two Americans: Ricky Barnes and Austin Eckroat.

A duo at the helm

At the end of this third round, Sam Stevens and Nicolai Hojgaard took the lead in the standings (-14). This Saturday, the American golfer finished the course of the Puntacana Championship in 68 shots, with 1 eagle on the 4th, 4 birdies and 2 bogeys, including one conceded at the end, at hole number 18. For his part, his Danish competitor achieved a card of 66, without bogey and with 6 birdies.

Thomas Detry well placed

The podium is completed by a quartet. First we find Thomas Detry. Thanks to 7 birdies, the Belgian also recorded the best card of the day (65). The 30-year-old shares this third place (-13) with the Americans Wyndham Clark and Tyler Duncan, as well as the Englishman Matt Wallace. The latter, leader at the end of the second day, completed his third round with a record of 70 (5 birdies, 1 bogey, 1 double bogey on 3). Alone in 10th place (-10) Brice Garnett, in the lead on Thursday evening, completes the top 10.
