Quebec Games: medals in judo and artistic swimming

La Mauricie distinguished itself in judo and artistic swimming on Friday at the 56th Final of the Quebec Games.

Clemence Aubin et Julia Boudreau won gold in artistic swimming in the Duo 17 and under category. For its part, the men’s judo team (Matthias Perreault, Oslo Brochu, Nathan Mongrain, Zachary Mainville, Justin Thibault, Xavier Brouillette, Antoine Jeanpierre et Adam Beaulac) won the silver medal in the team tournament.

With these medals, Mauricie has just reached the milestone of 20 gold medals since the beginning of the Games, to which are added six silver and six bronze medals.

Other fine performances were achieved during the day. Let us mention the 4th position ofAnais Bordeleau et Kelly Gelinas in doubles in badminton, as well as the 4th position for the duo of 15 years old and under in artistic swimming composed ofElodie Desmarais et Charlie Laneuville.

L’men’s hockey team finished 7th in the standings following a victory in overtime. This is a first top 10 since 2011 in men’s hockey for Mauricie.

L’ringette team also achieved its best ranking in a long time, taking 13th place.

Things to watch today:

The badminton team will play for bronze this morning. Athletes will also be in action in artistic swimming.
