Portugal MotoGP Qualification Results: Marquez Pole, Miller Accident

Honda racer Marc Marquez won pole position MotoGP Portugal 2023 after being the fastest in qualifying at the Algarve Circuit, Saturday (25/3).

At the start of qualifying, Jack Miller pushed into first place with a record of 1 minute 37.549 seconds. The second and third positions are occupied by Francesco Bagnaia and Johann Zarco.

Fabio Quartararo in third position replaced Zarco. However, Luca Marini did not take long to displace Quartararo. Competition in third place looks so tight.

It was Jorge Martin’s turn to attract attention by taking second place, as well as shifting Bagnaia who dropped to third place.

Until the remaining six minutes of qualifying, Honda racer Marc Marquez took 10th place after trailing +0.784 seconds behind Miller.

Towards the end of qualifying, Jack Miller had an accident at corner 3. Maverick Vinales and Marco Bezzecchi advanced in the top three.

Vinales in second place Bezzecchi in third. Followed by Bagnaia’s slick performance, which moved Miller to first place. Bagnaia recorded a time of 1 minute 37.290 seconds.

The third position in the closing seconds of the 2023 Portugal MotoGP qualification was filled: Francesco Bagnaia, Jorge Martin and Jack Miller.

Meanwhile Marc Marquez was pushed out of the top 10 positions. However, when qualifying was about to end, Marc Marquez pulled the gas until he finally won pole position with a time of 1 minute 37.226 seconds.
