Arrival of the fifth: 9 – 13 – 5 – 12 – 3
The end of the race Moon Wolf (n°9) marked the spirits. Stéphane Wattel’s student had not run since November 25, 2022, but proved that he was already in advanced physical condition. “It’s a good surprise, admits his mentor. The horse evolved physically and worked with the good horses in the stable. I had told his co-owners that he had a good season to go but he was making a comeback. Finally, his pupil confirms the favorable impressions left last year in this category where he had already won once. Moon Wolf also highlights his jockey, Alexis Pouchin, winner of his tenth quinté while the developer based in Deauville now has 77 to his name.
Morisot (n°13) can’t cope with the very fine final sprint of the winner but validates the pleasant impression left on his return to competition on this same track. Unhappy lately, Picnic Royal (n°5) completes the podium thanks to a good end of the race, which allows him to overtake Shamshabad (#12), and Joey Up (n°3).
In the absence of the main favorites on arrival, the reports of the quinté amount to 159,411.20 euros.
