In January, Boris Lambert of KAS Eupen was linked to Standard. Now he talks about the interest of another top club.

During the winter mercato it was heard that two clubs from the top six of the ranking were interested in Boris Lambert from KAS Eupen. Standard was a first name that fell.

In an interview with La Capitale, Lambert now admits that he was approached by Union SG. This weekend he will play with his current team against his possible new employer for next season. “It is always nice when a club like Union is interested in you,” he tells the Walloon newspaper. “It was a boost for me.”

The problem is that he still has a contract until 2027 in the East Cantons. “Leave at Eupen in the summer? The end of the season might be the right time for me to take a step forward.”
