Peter Fischer takes the floor, the supervisory board wants peace

Dhe Supervisory Board of Frankfurter Eintracht expressed its confidence in its chairman Philip Holzer in a statement on Friday. It says: “The supervisory board was informed by Holzer at an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday about his confidential conversation with CEO Axel Hellmann on March 15, in which the chairman of the supervisory board offered his interlocutor Hellmann his resignation as a precautionary measure in order to avoid a damage to the club to avoid escalation.”

The Supervisory Board emphasized Holzer’s achievements over the past few years. The committee also commented on Hellmann: “At the same time, the councilors emphasized that they absolutely wanted to keep Hellmann as spokesman for the board. In the interests of Eintracht Frankfurt, the Supervisory Board would like the differences to be resolved and a cooperative working relationship to be in place in the future.”

Eintracht President Peter Fischer, as the representative of the main shareholder, took the floor in the communication for the first time in the conflict between Holzer and Hellmann: “Differences and different opinions are part of it, but should not be discussed publicly. Divisive communication is harmful. I will have a conversation with both of them with the aim of enabling a common, success-oriented future in the spirit of Eintracht Frankfurt.”
