The Spanish Luis Enrique Penalver He qualified for the round of 16 of the tournament in Germany, after beating the Danish Mads Christophersen, by 16-21, 21-19 and 22-20in 64 minutes.
The equality was maximum between two very close players in the world ranking -51 the Danish and 52 the Spanish- and they had not met to date.
The first set was won by Christophersen after getting a 6-0 run that allowed him to go from 14-12 favorable to Peñalver to 14-18 that helped him to score the sleeve.
In the second, he also dominated the Danish by a narrow margin until Peñalver got the match at 19 and resolved with 21-19.
In the third and final match, the Spaniard gained a 10-6 advantage, although the Dane reacted to equalize at 12. They tied again at 19 and 20, but Peñalver, Just as he did in the second set, he proved to be more precise on the important points and won the match.
