Good performance by Elena Payá at the Iberdrola Spanish junior badminton open held in Oviedo
This weekend the badminton “Iberdrola Spanish Junior Open” was held in Oviedo with the participation of 120 players from 16 countries. It is a scoring tournament for the European and national ranking.
Elena Payà, from the El Campello badminton club, attended this great event. Elena once again demonstrated her quality by reaching the women’s doubles quarterfinals with her partner Paula Llavero (Ibiza club), and they narrowly missed the semifinals after losing 3 sets against a Belgian couple.
In mixed doubles he went even further, as playing with Jofre Comella (from the Granollers club) they reached the semifinals, where they lost against a couple from the United Arab Emirates who finally won.
