Ombudsman opens ex officio complaint to Asep for blackouts in El Valle de Antón

The Ombudsman’s Office, through the Coclé Regional, opened a complaint to the Public Services Authority (ASEP), for the Right to Petition because the residents and merchants of El Valle de Antón have submitted requests to the director from the institution, but received no response.

The National Human Rights Institution (INDH) proceeded to open this complaint in response to the constant power blackouts, recently exposed by the residents in various media.

According to Article 26 of Law No. 7 of February 5, 1997, by which the Ombudsman’s Office is created and its modifications, it may receive all oral or written complaints, transmitted by any means, that come from anonymous sources. or identified.
