Percy Moncada, in charge of preparing the Junior in the Arturo Reyes era, responded to the current DT.
In a conversation with De fútbol se habla así, Directv Sports, Percy Moncada assured that Junior could be even above the national average of the players who can run the most in the championship. He assures that it is not true that this is Junior’s fault.
“It surprises me from every point of view. Today science is very advanced and I have the day-to-day data and the national average with the mechanical variables with the monitoring equipment and if I go to the number, ours is the same or above the national average, when talking about how much a player can run”, he mentioned.
The sports professional assured that “The numbers that the system produced are very good numbers, equal to or above the average. Sometimes I say that the ways and methods of work are different, each one deserves respect and is valid. The important thing here is to respect the method of a person”.
Finally, Moncada mentioned that with Arturo Reyes he has had successful processes but that things did not turn out well in Junior. “We have been trying to guide our training unit for more than nine years and it has given us results in Barranquilla and in national teams. In Junior the result did not occur and it happens in any project.”
