It was sparked by a video streamed on Instagram of Morant shirtless in a nightclub holding what appeared to be a weapon. The NBA then announced that an investigation had been launched against the 23-year-old Morant.
Glendale police said “there was not enough evidence available to charge anyone with a crime.” In the NBA, however, point guard Morant will still be missing, the Grizzlies want to use him again on March 17 at the earliest against the San Antonio Spurs. Morant subsequently apologized for his behavior and announced that he wanted to seek help. The last two games that the top team from Memphis played without him were lost. The All-Star is considered one of the best young professionals in the NBA.
