On Monday, Shilov received an emergency call-up to the National Hockey League because goaltender Colin Deely was ill, and immediately had the opportunity to play in goal against the Nashville “Predators” (4:3). The Latvian saved 29 of 32 shots during the game and all of the postgame shots and got his third win in his fifth NHL game.
In five NHL games, 21-year-old Shilov has saved 90.8% of shots and allowed an average of 2.75 rebounds.
