I Los Angeles Lakers continue the excellent period of form and they win at home against the Raptors on the score of 122 to 112. Yesterday evening marked the return to the field of D’Angelo Russell, who had missed the last six games with a right ankle problem. The former Wolves immediately had a decisive impact, putting on the scoresheet 28 points, nine assists and five rebounds. Russell also had some strong shooting stats, finishing with 10/17 from the field and 5/8 from the arc. In the classic post-game interview Russell wanted to thank the Lakers fans present at the Cryto.com Arena:
“The fans are ready to explode from a certain point in the match: I already remembered it from my previous experience here. I wanted to put energy on the pitch and give the fans what they deserve. It shouldn’t go unnoticed, because our fans are the first to give players energy when they have a positive moment. So why shouldn’t we take the good things and positivity our fans give us?”
The game between the Lakers and the Raptors was filled with twists and turns of leadership. The home team had led at halftime, but the Raptors came from behind after halftime. The Lakers had a third quarter to forget, scoring only four shots from the field, but in the last decisive period they had a run in favor of 37-22 which allowed them to collect their seventh win in their last nine games.
In addition to D’Angelo Russell, too, they were decisive for the yellow-purples Dennis Schroder and Austin Reaves coming off the bench. The former scored 23 points and served seven assists, while the latter had 18 points and five assists on the scoresheet. A night to forget for Anthony Davis, heavily limited by the Raptors’ defense which allowed him to score only eight points with 4/7 shooting from the field.
