(Reuters) – Six-time NBA All-Star Shawn Kemp, 53, was arrested on suspicion of shooting in Tacoma, Wash.
Investigators said Kemp opened fire during an altercation in the parking lot around 2 p.m. that day. Multiple media reports.
Played 14 seasons in the NBA during his career. He was selected as an All-Star for six consecutive seasons and was selected to the All-NBA Second Team three times.
Known for his powerful dunk shots, he averaged 14.6 points per game in his career. He retired after the 2002-03 season.
In 2005, he was arrested for possession of marijuana and cocaine.
