NBA: Franz Wagner leads Orlando to victory in Los Angeles

A three-point shot in the last minute was particularly important when Wagner scored to make it 109:104 and thus ensured a preliminary decision. The Magic have 29 wins and 42 losses this season and are unlikely to make the playoffs.

Last year’s finalists Boston Celtics are sure to be there in the final stages. The team around Jayson Tatum lost 117:118 (64:57) at the Utah Jazz, but can no longer be pushed out of the top six places due to a defeat by the Miami Heat. The Milwaukee Bucks around the Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Denver Nuggets around the Serbian Nikola Jokic have already secured their playoff participation.

The next defeat was for the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors. The 119-133 at the Memphis Grizzlies was the third losing game in a row for star player Stephen Curry and his colleagues. The Warriors (36 wins, 36 losses) currently have to qualify for the playoffs.
