Napoli lose at home to Lazio

After an impressive series of eight wins in a row, Naples lost at home this Friday evening against Lazio Rome (0-1) at the start of the 25th day of Serie A. But the club coached by Luciano Spaletti still counts 17 points ahead (precisely on Lazio, the new runner-up of the Neapolitans) while waiting for the matches of the two Milanese clubs this weekend.

The match was disputed and the Romans could even have led in the score, from the 5th minute without an exceptional save, on his line, from the head, of captain Di Lorenzo.

The leader missed the mark offensively

Then, Naples gradually put its collective game in place, to press and chain the opportunities. Without materializing in the first half despite Zielinski (14th) or Anguissa (25th). In the second half, the pressure intensified on the Roman goal with attempts from Osimhen (51st) and again Zielinski (59th).

It was expected that Naples concretizes, as often, its domination. But on a ball pushed back in the axis by Kvaratskhelia, Vecino managed a powerful half-volley from the right, flush with the right post of Meret, the Neapolitan goalkeeper.

The end of the match was intense, Naples chaining the situations, but without managing to score. And it was even Lazio who could have made the score worse at the end of the match, especially on a free kick from Milinkovic-Savic on the bar (90th).
