Corbin Carroll has signed an eight-year, $111 million contract extension with the Arizona Diamondbacks. The D-Backs will also have the option to extend the contract for a ninth season for an additional $23 million.

Carroll, 22, is widely regarded as a future star. With this deal, he’ll be the centerpiece for an ascendant Diamondbacks team.

The 22-year-old outfielder made his debut last year with the D-Backs. In 32 games in 2022, he batted .260 in addition to hitting four long pitches.
Arizona’s first-round pick in 2019 (16th overall), Carroll will therefore achieve full autonomy at the age of 30. The American was one of the Majors’ top prospects last year and will be the Diamondbacks’ center fielder in the opening game.
