Martina Barale qualifies for the national Cadet phase

JUDO Another great success for the Alba Judo Center of master (sixth Dan) Francesco Iaboni. The qualifications for the Italian A2 Championship, reserved for the Cadet category, were held at the Leinì sports hall. On the tatami, among 150 participants, three athletes from the Albese club stood out. Superlative performance by Martina Barale, born in 2006, who managed to win the ticket for the national final to be held in Taranto on Sunday 19th. The judoka impeccably held the reins of the fights, obtaining the maximum scores in each match and finishing in first place. The maestro Iaboni said he was extremely satisfied with the results obtained thanks to the hard training done in the gym. Good performance also for Claudio Drocco and Ahmed Hajji in the 60 kg category, unfortunately forced to stop in the second meeting.

The club would like to thank the coaches and teammates who, demonstrating the team spirit that distinguishes the Judo Center in Alba, have made themselves available to help the athletes reach optimal form.

The previous week, at the fourteenth City of Asti trophy, the Alba club had once again obtained great satisfaction, fielding 19 athletes out of over 600 participants in the competition at the Palasanquirico. In the Preagonists category Giulia and Martina Iaboni, Samuele Musso, Arianna Occhetto and Giada Risi won the gold medal. Second place for Sofia Bucci, Dafne Maria Dotta, Omar Labyodat, Alice Manzone, Bianca Risi, Anita Ronco, Esmeralda Serlitti and Federico Taretto and bronze for Iacopo Autera. The agonists also stood out. Martina Barale, Alessandro Monardo and Claudio Drocco obtained the silver medal and Elena Biscia the bronze one. The performance of Antonino Ragusi (Juniors) was also excellent who, in his first race, distinguished himself by facing his rivals with grit and tenacity. In front of 44 clubs from Piedmont, Liguria and Lombardy, the Alba Judo Center distinguished itself by finishing in tenth position.
