Marco Silva faces several accusations: the coach’s response

Marco Silva and Mitrovic face disciplinary proceedings by the Football Association, following the expulsions of the coach and Fulham striker for protests in the defeat against Manchester United, for the FA Cup.

The Portuguese coach has already acknowledged that he left his technical area. Marco Silva is also accused of using abusive language and gestures and of having thrown a bottle of water in the direction of the assistant referee.

O morefootball knows that the Fulham coach will contest this latest accusation, basing his defense on footage of the moments in question.

Marco Silva does not remember what he said specifically, but he denies that he threw a bottle of water in the direction of a member of the refereeing team, or anyone else.

The FA will investigate several instances: the coach is accused of having used abusive language or gestures towards the head referee. Marco Silva is also accused of having used abusive language or gestures towards the fourth official before of his sending off and using abusive language or gestures towards the fourth official after his expulsion.

The English Federation also intends to analyze the statements made by the Fulham coach after the match: “It’s difficult to be Fulham at Old Trafford, VAR also feels the pressure”.

Mitrovic was expelled for backing the match referee and faces a heavy penalty. The FA is considering an additional three-match ban on top of the usual three-match suspension for a direct red card.
