At the moment, it is difficult to indicate the favorite of the meeting, because the form of both ladies can rise and fall in the most unexpected moments.
Form problems and injuries
For a definitely higher ranked Polish woman, the meeting with Raducan will be an opportunity to break after a few definitely weaker weeks. After the Australian Open, the 31-year-old player quickly dropped out of the tournaments in Merida and Austin, where according to the rankings she should come to further stages. However, Rebecca Peterson (103rd WTA) and Wawraragraczewa (66th WTA) turned out to be better.
In the case of Raducan, it is difficult to talk about a stable and even form. Indian Wells is for the British, who defeated Danka Kovinic (62nd WTA) in the first round, the first tournament since the Australian Open Grand Slam. The 2021 US Open winner recently complained about a recurring wrist injury that continues to hamper her game. However, pain can be different in each encounter.
The meeting of both tennis players in sunny California should start at 20:00 Polish time. Experts still do not agree which of the players will be the favorite. Most, however, are inclined towards Magdalena Linette’s rival.
