Luc Abalo (Zeekstar Tokyo) puts an end to his rich career during the Japanese league play-offs

The Kinshicho Municipal Gymnasium is located in the popular Sumida River district, on the edge of the megalopolis. With its swimming pool, its rehabilitation room for the elderly, its archery ground on the roof, it is hard to imagine that it is home to one of the most ambitious handball teams in Japan: the Tokyo Zeekstars , the team of Luc Abalo, triple Olympic champion with the Blues. There hadn’t been a handball team in the Japanese capital for almost twenty years when the young IT company Future Corporation embarked on the project in 2020 (see elsewhere).
