With Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s contracts coming to an end, Liverpool need to strengthen their midfield. Especially since several players, still under contract, have been singled out for their performances below expectations this season.

The price asked by the PSG not revealed

90min reveals that Liverpool have added Renato Sanches’ name to their shelves to boost their midfield in the upcoming summer transfer window. Having had a difficult time in the Premier League with Swansea City, the Portuguese could be tempted to prove his worth in England. And its leaders should not hold it back.

Renato Sanches is struggling to establish himself within the Parisian club due to injuries and tactical choices. Having only started in 3 Ligue 1 games, the Portuguese international could consider leaving despite a contract running until 2027. He faces strong competition at PSG, with players such as Marco Verratti, Fabian Ruiz , Danilo Pereira, Vitinha and Carlos Soler. The latter have all been more regularly established than the Portuguese, which could push him to reconsider his future.

Several Premier League clubs are said to be interested in the player. Competition could be tough for the Reds, with Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Wolverhampton also said to be in the running.

It is not yet known how much Paris Saint-Germain would ask to let go of their midfielder, who was bought for 15 million euros from Lille last summer. But at almost 26 years old, the Portuguese international has no more time to lose. We can assume that his desire to leave will be particularly linked to the name of the future PSG coach, and to the speech he will give him.
