What a gala of Liverpool FC: Jürgen Klopp’s team dismantled Manchester United. After the grandiose victory, the Reds are suddenly back in the middle of the race for the Champions League places.

RRecord at Anfield: Liverpool underlined their ambitions for a place in the Champions League with an impressive thrashing of Manchester United. Coach Jürgen Klopp’s team beat Man United, who had been unbeaten in eleven games, 7-0 (1-0) on Sunday after an outstanding game. It was the highest win for the Reds in this prestigious comparison.

Double packs from Cody Gakpo (43’/50′), Darwin Nunez (47’/75′) and Mohamed Salah (66’/83′) and a goal by Roberto Firmino (88′) ensured the ecstatic crowd at Anfield Stadium for the well-deserved respectable success. Salah is now Liverpool’s all-time Premier League goalscorer with 129 goals in 205 games.

Liverpool took control of the game in front of their home crowd from the start. ManUnited only got into play just before half-time, but then Gakpo scored to give the hosts the lead. After the break and Nunez’s quick goal, the Klopp team was clearly the superior team again and really showed off the increasingly frustrated opponents.

After the goal to make it 7-0, a spectator ran onto the field, but was immediately removed by security personnel.
