Leo/Daniel’s determination to directly meet a heavy opponent

Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Martin immediately met a tough opponent in the first round All England 2023. But they are still determined.

Leo/Daniel are one of five representatives from the Indonesian men’s doubles sector who will appear in the oldest badminton tournament in the world.

Leo/Daniel Remains Determined at All England 2023

“Against Aaron/Soh, we have been preparing since training in Indonesia. We both know the pattern of play, so it’s just a matter of implementing it on the field,” said Daniel in a PBSI release.

Even so, Leo will still anticipate unexpected conditions on the field, especially regarding the wind direction which is sometimes different during training and matches. “Today there is no wind, but I don’t know how it will be tomorrow when the match starts,” he said.

Questioning the target in All England 2023, Leo/Daniel hopes to produce the best results. In the previous edition, the 2023 Indonesia Masters champion was stopped in the quarterfinals. They were defeated by China’s men’s doubles, He Ji Ting / Tan Qiang 21-15, 16-21, 14-21.

“We try to play optimally here first. We are optimistic that we will win. We hope that it will go smoothly and we ask for the prayers and support of all Indonesian people,” said Leo.
