Launaguet. The Judo family was complete

A few days ago, a crowd of spectators was able to attend the common lesson of the Launaguet judo school. The big judo family met there for the occasion.

With many participants of all ages, everyone trained on the tatamis set up exceptionally for the occasion in the large local gymnasium. Athletes from 4 to 65 years old exchanged and shared a pleasant moment together in judogi, in joy and good humor.

Emotion sequence

At the end of the lesson, everyone gathered around the tatami to make way for the presentation of the sixth Dan by Stéphane Bodson, emblematic judo teacher at the Launaguet sports school. The bleachers were filled for a beautiful presentation before giving way to emotion. It was René Roques, Stéphane’s first judo teacher, who gave him this new grade, he who had given him his yellow belt almost 40 years ago. “I am very moved”, could confide Stéphane Bodson, in front of the crowd. The man is often serious and it was with tears, in front of friends, family and old and new students, that he was congratulated with thunderous applause.

René Roques’ speech extended the intense moment: “I give my friend Stéphane this rank with great emotion. He has always been persevering and competent. His progress has developed with a lot of work with judokas of his level. He has always brought enrichment to his club. He has just entered the club of the high ranking officers, he fully deserves it. Work and improvement have always been the watchwords of this athlete. The result and the technique are there and I’m very, very proud of him.” The mayor of Launaguet and some elected officials also came to congratulate the professor. A whole club, a whole municipality were proud to salute the work of this man with multiple values ​​and to share a pot of friendship.
