Lakers hero, Vanderbilt reveals the brilliant nickname he gives to LeBron!

Arrived in relative discretion in Los Angeles on the sidelines of the trade deadline, Jarred Vanderbilt has since made the Lakers and their fans happy. LeBron James is particularly satisfied with his performance, and received a perfect nickname from him!

If they could achieve an unprecedented performance this season in the NBA on the floor of the Mavericks, it is partly thanks to him. Author of his best game under the colors of the Lakers, Jarred Vanderbilt proved to be as valuable in attack as in defense. Because in addition to his 15 points and 8 precious offensive rebounds, the new angelino winger also gave Luka Doncic an ordeal. A remarkable perf which he was obviously delighted with:

I just tried to increase the intensity and to be a little more physical. I knew we needed it in this game. I wanted to bring energy, make the effort and make the dynamic change sides to turn the game around. (…) I like this challenge of having to defend against the best opposing player every night, regardless of his position. I think I can have a real impact in this team thanks to that.

Jarred Vanderbilt is already trolling LeBron James

Barely arrived in the rotation of Darvin Ham, Vanderbilt already seems to have found his place there, and is not likely to disappear with such performances. The Lakers coach did not fail to greet him after the victory against Dallas, like Anthony Davis and LeBron James. The King was even one of the first to congratulate him in the Purple & Gold locker room… in his own way:

A big fan of personalized handshakes, LeBron is usually never slow to create one with his new teammates. “Vando” has not escaped this phenomenon, and even kindly joked about it in his comment posted under this video on Instagram:

Unfortunately for him and the Purple & Gold, the famous LBJ handshakes may be his only contribution in the coming days. The feedback on his injury is indeed alarmingwhich will force Vanderbilt to work harder in his absence!

Just days after his transfer to the Lakers, Jarred Vanderbilt can already boast of having a full-fledged handshake with LeBron James. The sign that the Chosen One did not have to wait any longer to adopt it!
