Kvitova, the 13th time is the charm

It is never late if happiness is good. That must have thought Peter Kvitov after winning with suffering and in three sets (6-4, 3-6 and 6-3 in 2h12) to Ekaterina Alexandrova and qualify for the first time for the semifinals of the Miami Open in his 13th participation.

The 33-year-old and 12th-ranked Czech in the world used her inexhaustible class to overcome the 28-year-old and 18th-ranked Russian, whom she had already beaten in their previous match, at the 2020 Australian Open.
