The bronze medalist of the Pan American Games in Lima, Kristine Jiménez from Veragua, won the gold medal at the Pan American Judo Open, held this weekend in Medellín.
Jiménez obtained his medal in the -57 kilograms.
Another medal for Panama was the bronze that Lilian Cordones reached, in the -52 kilograms.
Panama was one of the only six countries that obtained gold medals, led by Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela, which achieved six, three and two, respectively.
The Pan American, which ended last Sunday, had the participation of 19 countries of the continent, including Cuba and Mexico, which each achieved one.
