In the weight class up to 66 kg, both clashes went to the Middle Franconia right from the start. The first Hofer points were secured by Alex Ananev, who ended his fight prematurely with two Waza-ari scores for a shoulder throw, while Stefan Barthelmann secured the point for the PTSV team after only twelve seconds with an Ippon score. Unfortunately, the next encounter had to be handed in again. With a lever technique, Eduardo Paucara-Solis forced his opponent to submit. Yusuf Sat forced Fürther to be passive three times and thus also won before the end of the fighting time. Youngster Anton Honcharov, who is still on the mat with a yellow belt, was clearly underestimated by his opponent. The Middle Franconian found himself lying on his back after 16 seconds after a shoulder throw and had to give up after the subsequent arm lock. In the 81 kg class, Hofer could not occupy one match and had to give up the point without a fight, while the second fight went back to the Middle Franconia. So it was 5:5 after the first round and the PTSVers were still satisfied here.
