Journalist reports details transfer rights Gimenez

Feyenoord has purchased Santiago Gimenez with a unique construction. The team from Rotterdam took over 50% of the transfer rights of the Mexican from Cruz Azul last summer for an amount that is slightly less than four million euros.

Various agreements have been made for the future. General manager Dennis te Kloese recently confirmed that Feyenoord has more than 60% of the transfer rights, but did not want to disclose exact figures. A construction like this is not very common. According to Te Kloese, this gave some certainty if Gimenez would not come out in Rotterdam.

Journalist Kery News now reports that Feyenoord has 70% of the transfer rights. Both clubs have agreed, when Gimenez is ten times accurate, that an additional 20% must be bought. In addition, another 20% will be added next summer. Feyenoord will soon have a total of 90% of the transfer rights. The remaining 10% will remain in the hands of Cruz Azul.

For Feyenoord it already appears to be an excellent investment. The Mexican is developing excellently in the shirt of the team from Rotterdam and is currently enjoying interest from Sevilla FC, FC Porto and SL Benfica. The 21-year-old Gimenez, who has a contract with Feyenoord until mid-2026, has made no secret of being very happy at the club.
