Johor DT Darul Takzim on Falcao: “There is a possibility”

The future of Radamel Falcao García is unknown. The Colombian striker ends his contract at the end of the season with Rayo Vallecano, a team with which he has less and less participation, and there is still no information about the club where he would continue his career. El Tigre has been linked with several teams from different leagues, its most recent suitor being Johor Darul Takzim FC from Malaysia.

The technical director Esteban Solari, brother of Santiago (former Real Madrid player), spoke at a press conference after his team beat Kuala Lumpur as a visitor for the second day of the Malaysian Super League, in which they are currently co-leaders with a perfect score. The Argentine coach assured that the possibility of hiring Falcao exists, but it is handled by the managers.

“We know there’s a possibility, it’s something our boss is working on. We are still waiting, I can’t say more, our boss will decide on Falcao”, assured the coach during the conference in statements collected by The Malaysian Reserve.

This season, Radamel Falcao García has played 21 games, 19 in LaLiga Santander and 2 in the Copa del Rey, however, he has only added 587 minutes, which represents only 31% participation in the matches he has played. The attacker, who has not been a starter for 4 months, has also accumulated two goals.

While his future is being defined, El Tigre continues his preparation with Rayo Vallecano. This Sunday, March 5 at 12:30 p.m. (Colombian time), they will face Athletic Club de Bilbao at the Vallecas Stadium for day 24 of LaLiga Santander.
