It’s official: La Gantoise loses a pillar for China, just before the final sprint of the Playoffs! – All football

Very bad news in Ghent. While the transfer window is long over, Michael Ngadeu will still leave the Buffalos, heading to China.

A few weeks ago, a rumor swelled: Michael Ngadeu (32) could leave La Gantoise before the end of the regular season, and sign in the Chinese Super League. It is now official by the Buffalos: Ngadeu leaves, after 4 years at the Ghelamco Arena.

“After almost 4 years in Ghent, Michael Ngadeu has chosen to leave us. Our defender received a lucrative offer from Beijing Guoan, which he could not refuse”, reads the Ghent press release. Ngadeu was coming to the end of his contract next June; Ghent is therefore also found there, obtaining compensation.

Michel Louwagie explains: “Of course, we had hoped to keep Ngadeu with us at least until the end of the season (…) The financial offer that Beijing made to him was unfortunately too high for us”.
