Hotelier at heart: Singer Patrick Lindner – Sport

SZ: Sport is…

Patrick Lindner: …certainly important if this (inner) bastard didn’t exist…

Your current fitness level?

Good, I would say. It could always be a bit better, others think…

Rim upswing or stopover?

In the latter case, I’m definitely there, but with full momentum.

Physical education was for you…

an absolute must! In the sense that I always had to.

Your personal record?

For me it was “Lets Dance”, driven by my coach Isabel Edvardsson.

Stadium visitors or TV athletes?

Stadium spectators, but from my terrace. Because I look directly into the Grünwalder Stadium.

Bavaria or sixty?

The question then becomes superfluous.

Your eternal sports idol?

Steffi Graf, whom I admire from the start as an athlete, but also as a wonderful person.

A formative experience?

Was and still is the encounter with Audrey Hepburn at the Bambi Awards in 1991.

In which discipline would you be an Olympic champion?

I think as a host. That’s me body and soul. I would have liked to be a hotelier.

Which athlete would you like to swap jerseys with?

I don’t think with anyone. I personally know many professional athletes who work very hard for their sport, which always impresses me. It’s like everything in life: nothing comes from nothing.

Under the heading “Formality” the SZ asks people about their affinity for sport every week. Artists, politicians, captains of industry – just no athletes. It would be boring.
