Eden Hazard does not want to leave Real Madrid prematurely, despite his now sportingly meaningless role. According to ‘The Athletic’, the 32-year-old forward plans to fulfill his contract, which runs until 2024. Family reasons and the top salary of 23 million euros a year, which makes Hazard Real’s top earner, are the reasons for this decision. Offers from other clubs should not be available anyway.
At Real Madrid, Hazard is almost completely out. He last played a competitive game in early January in the Copa del Rey, his last appearance in La Liga was in mid-September. The relationship with coach Carlo Ancelotti is said to be cold. In November Hazard said: “If the club says to me, ‘Eden, thank you for the four years, but you have to go’, I have to accept that.” Now his mind seems to have changed.
