Guillermo Marqués and Jorge Fernández, first leaders of the Primavera de Snipe Trophy of the RCA de Regatas

On Sunday, the first day of the RCAR Spring Dinghy Sailing Trophy was held in the waters of the bay of Gijón. The two scheduled sleeves were disputed under a cane tour.

The day was marked by good weather with a stable wind from the Northeast, with an average intensity of 12 knots and points of 15, short waves with the occasional sheep.

In the Snipe class, good performance by Guillermo Marqués and Jorge Fernández, who with a second and a first place are the first leaders of the test. The second place in the general is for Álvaro Alegría and Pedro López with a fourth and a second in their locker. The podium positions close, José Luis de la Rubia and Ignacio López third in both sleeves.

In RS Feva, the pair formed by Aida Marqués and Carlos Fernández were the fastest in the first round and second in the closing one, which places them leaders in their class. Miguel Ribera and Manuel Oliveria are second, finishing in fourth and first position, followed by Rodrigo Llanes and Diego Pérez, just one point behind the second placed.

Among the Optimists, Marta Simal was the fastest in the two sleeves, taking the lead in the general classification. Second place goes to Alma Pérez after crossing the finish line in second and fourth position. For her part, Lucia Van der Sanden occupies third place after scoring a fourth and a third place.

In ILCA 6, in the first round, three boats went ahead at the start, a situation that benefited Jesús Manuel Martínez who, with two seconds, is at the head of the classification. Julio Riba occupies the second position after scoring a first and a fifth place. The third place is for Fernando Alonso who would win the second sleeve with authority.

Finally, in ILCA 4, Marta Suarez has adapted very well to the class and with a second and a first she is the first leader among the ILCA 4. Second place goes to Mateo Fernández who would cross the finish line in first and fourth position, tied on points with Gonzalo Jaudenes with a third and a second.
