In his timeline there are entertaining comments on football events in England, which he helped shape as a player in the 1980s. Lineker also shares his political views with his almost nine million followers, above all he is committed to refugees. Only recently, when he condemned the British Tory government’s migration policy, which may violate human rights, as “extremely cruel”. As a result, the pro-government BBC management dismissed him as a freelance presenter of football programs – with reference to the impartiality requirement of public service broadcasting.
