The last game of the regular season? It was March 19. The first game of the playoffs? It will only be April 15. This peculiarity is part of the Swiss badminton championship which must adapt to the international calendar which notably provides for individual tournaments in which certain foreign players who play in Switzerland take part.
And this rather special calendar impacts a Friborg club which plays in the National League A: Union Tavel – Friborg finished the championship in second place behind Lausanne.
“We now have more experience”
The coach – player of Union Tavel – Friborg is delighted with the upcoming arrival of the playoffs. Oliver Schaller:
If the Union Tavel Friborg will face the Saint-Gallois of Uzwil, in the other semi-final, place for a Vaudois derby between Lausanne and Yverdon.
