Fluminense debuted with a draw in the return of the Copa Rio Feminina. This Saturday afternoon (03/18), Tricolor went to Caio Martins and ended up 0-0 with Botafogo in a game valid for the first round. Coach Hoffmann Tulio was serving a suspension and that’s why Guerreiras were commanded by Alessandro Duarte.

The home team had the first chance to open the scoring, but stopped in Amanda’s great defense.

Imposing a lot of intensity, Flu pressed and had their first opportunity in a finish from Beah, who hit over the goal. In the final part of the first stage, Sol pulled the counterattack down the middle and played for Thaini, who was fouled by Jéssica Bahia, punished with a second yellow card and expulsion.

The last few minutes were full of tricolor pressure. Sol tried the low kick, but the goalkeeper made the save. Then, in a move on the right with Lorranny, Gadu pivoted and arranged for Beah to finish outside. Still in the first stage, Patricia Derrico, yellowish, was replaced by Lari.

With one more, Fluminense went into the second half with more changes: Thaini and Nathalia left to give way to Flavia Gil and Geovana da Silva. During the match, Alessandro promoted new changes putting Eliane, Tefa and Geovana Alves in place of Beah, Duda Batista and Lorrany.

The substitutions took effect and the team was dangerous in the aerial ball. First with a header out of Aninha and then with Gislaine. In the final part of the second stage, another chance to score, this time with Gadu, who took the ball in the dispute and finished it out close to the crossbar. In the last move of the match, Sol shot to the left and crossed low for Gadu, who didn’t take advantage.

The Guerreiras do Fluzão return to the field next Saturday (25/03) to face Vasco. The match is valid for the third round of the Copa Rio Feminina and will be at 9:30 am at Nivaldo Pereira (Artsul).
