F1, Red Bull and the weak point of the axle shaft? Before Melbourne will be investigated – OA Sport

A few minor concerns. In the first two weekends of F1 world championship 2023 the Red Bull did not win, but he swept. The superiority of the RB19 over the competition was overwhelming and it is no coincidence that two double goals arrived in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia on two tracks with opposite characteristics: Max Verstappen-Sergio Perez in Sakhir; with reversed roles (Perez-Verstappen) in Jeddah.

Everything beautiful and everything perfect? Not exactly. In a category in which development and research are fundamental factors, Adrian Newey he brought the rest of the Circus technicians to school, creating an amazing evolution of the RB18, in the balance between aerodynamics and mechanics. However, there is something to be reviewed and we are referring to the problems with the axle shaft that Verstappen had.

As is well known, the Dutchman was forced to interrupt qualifying in Saudi Arabia ahead of time for one breakage (semi-axis), having to start 15°. In the final stages of the race, Max felt some vibrations, assuming that the cause is the same. There was apparently no damage of the same magnitude, but it is an aspect that Red Bull will certainly investigate.

In two weeks we will fly to Australia and we will want to confirm the values on the track. Because of this, the Milton Keynes team will not want to be caught unprepared and will ascertain what may be the real causes of the critical issues described by Verstappen in the race in Jeddah.
