Varennes-Vauzelles. Exploit of the minimal Vauzelians at the ASAV Judo. The Vauzelli judokas achieved a great performance last weekend in Besançon, during regional championships, by qualifying five minima for the individual French Cup which will take place on Saturday March 25 and Sunday March 26, in Villebon-sur-Yvette.
During this competition, Noa Moreau (1 is in – 42 kg, six victories), Aziz Khatoyan (2 e in – 46 kg, five victories), Maxime Torres (3 e in – 34 kg, five victories), Erwan Levieux (2 e in + 73 kg, four victories), Alik Bakoyan (3 e in + 73 kg, five victories) and Nikola Somkhisvhili (3 e in – 73 kg, four victories) climbed on the podium, allowing the ASAV club to rank 3 e club of the Greater Region, behind Besançon and Quétigny.
“This is the first time that we have ranked six elements from the same club on the podium during a Greater Region championship, explains Denis Perreau, the ASAV club teacher. It is also the first time that we have qualified for the Coupe de France. Last year, only three judokas from Nivernais qualified for France, and this year, there are six including five from Vauzel. »
