They played the entire game in power after the defender of the hosts, Marcus Danielson, saw the red card just before the break. The inhabitants of Poznań took advantage of it perfectly. In the 77th minute, Filip Marchwiński gave them the lead, and in added time the score was closed by the duet Kwekweskiri – Skóraś. On Friday, the Polish champion met his opponent in the quarterfinals. It will be the Italian Fiorentina.

Some predicted who Lech’s opponent would be before the draw. “Fiorentina will be drawn. Write it down faken” – wrote Michał Sargol about 30 minutes before the ceremony.
