EURO | The national team coach got into a nasty fight in the studio after the EURO battle. And he left angrily

Andersson was upset by the question of expert Bojan Djordjica, a Swede with Serbian roots who played for Manchester United and Glasgow Rangers and represented the Nordic country in the youth categories.

With his question, Djordic questioned the correct selection of players for the national team. He asked, among other things, why Jesper Karlsson, the author of the great 4-0 goal, only started in the 82nd minute on Monday and just sat on the bench against Belgium.

“Jesper handled it very well. But we can debate player selection here all damn night. Sorry,” Andersson was beginning to counterattack in the studio of the Viaplay station.

“But who should I take out of the lineup? Should I replace eleven players? Don’t be mad at me, as a coach you can just do what you see fit with this. I can’t stand this bullshit,” continued the coach sourly.

Djordjic countered that Andersson was taking the exchange of views unnecessarily personally. But the starting coach could not be stopped.

“My God, we’re going to win 5-0 and you’re standing here whining. He (Karlsson) just came there and immediately scored. It was a lot of fun,” said the coach.

“I was just wondering…” Djordic tried to get back into the discussion again. “You’re standing here whining. Like every match,” Andersson interrupted. At that moment, the expert pointed out to him that the coach represents ten million people.

“And who do you represent?” the coach attacked. Djordjic replied that, of course, Sweden, but he took the question as an underhanded allusion to his background. “And why shouldn’t I (represent Sweden)? Do you have a problem with that? Are you implying that isn’t it?” defended the expert.

“Well then, I congratulate you. Good good. You are certainly a coach at the highest level,” Andersson dug further. “And you also played football at the highest level, didn’t you,” the expert returned the favor by attacking the coach’s not-so-glorious playing career.

“You’re giving shit after we won 5-0. That’s really bad,” Andesson sighed.

The verbal exchange continued. Moderator Niklas Jihde tried to get her back to the factual and traditional level by asking what pleased the coach in the match. But he didn’t succeed much.

“Nothing made me happy. I should have let Jesper Karlsson play ten minutes more to make everyone happy. This is really too much. If we lost 0:3, I would understand that you would come after me. But why should I like it when we won 5-0? You stand here against me, four people, asking me these questions. That’s damn bad. So thanks. See you again sometime,” Andersson said, putting down the microphone and leaving the studio.

At the subsequent press conference, the coach admitted that perhaps he got too carried away and that he went further than he should have. However, he insisted that he lacks more respect from the media.
