EM-Quali: After 0: 2 – Kazakhstan turns the game and shocks Denmark

Kazakhstan pulled off a big surprise by beating Denmark 3-2 in the second game of EURO qualifiers. England, meanwhile, got their second win.

NOW the European champions Italy are playing against Malta (in the LIVETICKER) and Portugal against Luxembourg (in the LIVETICKER).

Despite a brace from shooting star Rasmus Höjlund, Denmark suffered a surprising defeat in qualifying for the 2024 European Football Championship in Germany. The 2021 European Championship semi-finalists lost 3-2 (2-0) in Kazakhstan after a long lead and missed a perfect start in Group H three days after the opening win against Finland (3-1).

Höjlund had given the Danes the lead with a brace (21st, 35th), after his hat-trick against Finland the 20-year-old attacker from Atalanta Bergamo scored four and five international goals. But Baktijor Zajnutdinow (73′), Askhat Tagybergen (86′) and Abat Aimbetow (89′) sensationally turned the game in favor of the underdog.

Kane scores again: England beats Ukraine

England’s national football team is still on course on the way to the EM 2024 in Germany. Led by record goalscorer Harry Kane, the Three Lions beat Ukraine 2-0 (2-0) at Wembley on Sunday and got off to a perfect start to qualifying with six points from two games. Just three days ago, team manager Gareth Southgate’s team won 2-1 at European champions Italy.

Kane, who had become England’s record scorer with his 54th goal against the Squadra Azzurra, put the hosts ahead (37′), Arsenal’s exceptional player Bukayo Saka followed up a little later with a nice long-range shot (40′). The Three Lions lead Group C with the maximum number of points.
