Domantas Sabonis and Joel Embiid Named NBA Players of the Week

Like every Monday evening, place for the trophies of players of the week: Domantas Sabonis and Joel Embiid have just been rewarded by the NBA, which wanted to highlight these two interiors who have not lost the slightest match over the last seven days.

Record of three wins in three games for Sabonis, four successes in as many games for Embiid. When you finish a week undefeated and play at All-Star or even Superstar level, you have a good chance of reaping some rewards along the way.

Domantas Sabonis dropped stats of 20 points, 10.7 rebounds and 8.3 assists to guide the Kings to second place in the Western Conference, who today post an overall record of 40 wins for 26 losses after their beautiful week. The Lithuanian interior notably dropped two consecutive triple-doubles against the Pelicans and the Knicks, before helping Sacramento win a big success in Phoenix.

Joel Embiid, he did Joel Embiid. In other words, he did dirty: 38.5 points per game, 6.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.5 interceptions, 2.8 blocks, all in just… 33 minutes. The Sixers pivot is simply unplayable at the moment, enough to solidify his MVP potential record, especially since Nikola Jokic is currently losing with Denver. In addition to his monumental stats, Jojo was also a clutch, notably scoring the game-winner one second from the end against Portland last Friday.

Among the other nominees, in the West we have Devin Booker (Suns), Anthony Davis (Lakers), Talen Horton-Tucker (Jazz) as well as Kawhi Leonard (Clippers). In the East, Zach LaVine (Bulls), Mikal Bridges, Spencer Dinwiddie (Nets) and Donovan Mitchell (Cavaliers) also had serious records.
