The tennis player from Malaga Alejandro Davidovich has certified his good form and has achieved his second consecutive victory on the courts of Indian Wells this Sunday. He is already among the top 16 of the prestigious American ATP Masters 1000, after beating number 15 on the circuit, the Muscovite Khachanov, in a tough duel: 6-3, 1-6 y 6-4.

The cornerman prevailed in the first round despite the fact that the Russian broke his serve in the first game. His pulse did not tremble to come back from 0-2 and chain five consecutive games in which he added two breaks. His rival reacted and won the second set with authority. But in the decisive third set he expected a close battle. Davidovich broke serve in the sixth game (4-2) and was on the verge of victory with a new game.

Everything seemed decided, although it is true that the blank game for Khachanov led him to another break in his favor. The Costa del Sol tennis player responded to that challenging 5-4 in the best possible way, even though the serve was not in his hands. On the first occasion to have set and match point, he achieved the definitive break that gives him a superlative ticket. The number 28 will now face the Chilean Garín, who has just beaten an entire Casper Ruud despite being number 97 in the world rankings.
