The candidate of Adelante Andalucía for the Mayor of Cádiz, David de la Cruzhas committed to expanding the Municipal School Sports Program to include judo, athletics and canoeing.

from this week a total of 2,556 schoolchildren from 26 schools of the city enrolled are enjoying the School Sports Program in the municipal sports centers. The candidate for Mayor of Adelante Andalucía Cádiz, David de la Cruz, has visited this week with the Councilor for Sports, José Ramón Páez, the start of two of his main activities, swimming and sailing.

In this sense, De la Cruz thanked in a statement the success of the work that has been carried out in this free program to promote and facilitate the development of two sports modalities so closely linked to the city.

For De la Cruz “it is important to expand these courses, expand it so that they reach more students”, specifically to the fifth and sixth grades of primary school, and also “expand the modalities of sports practice to expand to others such as judo, athletics or canoeing,” he explained.

The objective will be to “offer a greater offer so that more boys and girls are enriched by something so beautiful, which generates camaraderie and community such as school sports,” he concluded.

It should be remembered that this new edition of the School Sports Program will take place in the Ciudad de Cádiz Sports Complex and in the Elcano Nautical Center for the 2022/2023 academic year until June 9.
