Cyclist Neiland takes 27th place in the classic Milan-Sanremo cycling race / Article

In favorable weather conditions, the Dutchman of the “Alpecin-Deceuninck” team, Mathieu van der Pool, finished first in the distance of 294 kilometers, who broke away alone from a group of four riders five and a half kilometers before the finish line. Italian cyclist Filippo Ganna (“Ineos Grenadiers”) finished second after 15 seconds, while Belgian Wout van Aart (“Jumbo-Visma”) crossed the finish line in third with the same result.

Neyland, starting in the “Israel – Premier Tech” team, finished in a group that lost 32 seconds to the winner. For the result achieved, Neiland earned 30 points in the International Cycling Union (UCI) ranking.

On the other hand, Skujiņš (“Trek Segafredo”) finished four minutes and 52 seconds behind the winner.

Milan-San Remo is the longest one-day race and has been running since 1907.
