– Cus Macerata has dropped a poker baby but with aces at the City of Bastia Umbra Trophy, a judo event reserved for pre-competition classes.

At the gates of Perugia, the Cussina section presented itself with the little ones Rodrigo Palma, Margherita Picciola, Lorenzo Stacchiotti and Matilde Maria Mercuri. Well, despite the thick competition of about 300 boys and girls from all over the world (athletes grouped by age, belt and weight) the four obtained 2 first places and as many third places!

Specifically, Lorenzo Stacchiotti won 3 fights all before the end of time for ippon (the maximum score in judo) and therefore deserved the gold medal. Same magnificent outcome for Rodrigo Palma who won two races and always by ippon before the end of time. Among the girls Margherita Picciola, on her first outing, found more expert rivals but still fought with a very valid technique. She only lost on points and thus took a positive third place.

Matilde Maria Mercuri imitated her. For her, an arduous commitment because the technical level of her group was very high. Mercuri closed with a match won and two lost on points, managing to get on the lowest step of the podium.

Thanks to these results, Cus Macerata was awarded among those companies that came from outside the region. All children have demonstrated a positive attitude and determination. The group also begins to forge bonds that hopefully will consolidate over time, sociality being one of the most important aspects of the judo course for young people activated at Cus Macerata by the manager Laura Moretti.
