Crocodiles prevailed over Panthers

This Tuesday, after four years, the Caracas Crocodiles and the Miranda Panteras faced each other again, this time for the Professional Basketball Super League (SPB) at the United Nations Park.

The Saurian team became strong in the El Paraíso reservoir and defeated the Mirandino team 66-58.

The first quarter was quite even, both teams did not save anything. The period ended 16-16.

For the second quarter, Panteras de Miranda would take a slight lead of five points thanks to a three pointer by Enderson Alcalá at the end of the period. The first half ended 33-28.

Already in the second half, the capital team changed the face thanks to Ernesto “Zancudito” Mijares who scored five points and cut the difference on the scoreboard to a single point. The third period ended 48-47 in favor of the Panteras.

In the last quarter, the Dominican Luis Montero appeared with eight points and Luis Bethelmy who contributed seven (a triple) to lead the saurian offense and put final figures of 66-58.

The most outstanding for Cocodrilos de Caracas were Luis Montero with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists; Tony Mitchell who scored 12 points, collected 9 rebounds and had 4 blocks; Luis Bethelmy with 14 points, 6 rebounds.

Those led by Gustavo García get their second victory of the championship. While the Mirandino team already has two defeats in a row.
